Fun in the Sun with the Family!!

For our last vacation before school starts back, we took a family vacation to visit my aunt and uncle in Daphne, AL. My mom and dad drove up with Delaney on Thursday morning, while Eric and I came down that night. It was full of new experiences and words for Delaney. She can say "puppy" and when Kenny asked her where the rat (her stuffed animal named "Ralphy") was, she put up her hands to say "I don't know?!" As soon as we woke up on Friday, the first thing she wanted to do was get back in the swimming pool... (6:00 in the morning)My dad and Eric went to Biloxi for some blackjack fun, while the girls stayed back and went to Fairhope. My favorite purchase of the weekend was a piece of artwork that will be painted by GiGi, a lady who painted the rose painting in Delaney's room. (Delaney "Rose" painting) She will be painting a portrait of Delaney as an angel. I can't wait to blog as soon as it arrives! After a long day at the shops in Fairhope, we took her for her first park visit of the trip in Daphne...
She is learning how to stick her tongue out when we ask her, "Where's your tongue?"
She was in a daze when she saw the other kids on the spinning, twirling toy...
So I took her for a ride, dizziness and all... All that shopping and playing made us hungry. We really enjoyed Mary Beth's cupcakes...Maybe a little too much... What??! A girl's gotta eat...When Daddy came home she told him about how much fun she had that day...
Posing for some pictures...
Yeah, yeah we're "twins." Pop ALWAYS says that!
Later that night, we ate at The Original Oyster House" with the whole family. My cousin, John, and his fiance, Amy, were able to watch Delaney sing and dance for everyone as they waited for their food. As if that wasn't enough... the restaurant has a singer/guitarist downstairs, and Delaney performed for everyone entering the restaurant, too.:) I have plenty of video of her performance, but it won't upload right now. So here's just one pic of us eating beforehand...
On Saturday, we went to the outlets in Foley. We found some great deals at our favorite kids' shop, Pampolina. :) Since we had been riding in the car awhile, Delaney was very happy to visit the Fairhope Park when we got back in town...
She loved looking at all the wooden art around the kids' play area..It is a beautiful park, and we will definitely go back next time we visit..

Perect castle for our princess...

We had an amazing time with amazing people, and we sure did enjoy every bit of it... :)
