Halloween 2010 Part Two

The Saturday before Halloween, Moody City Park had an Oktoberfest. We were able to meet our sweet friends, Jennifer and Cayden. We were so excited to wear our new Minnie Mouse outfit for two reasons.
One reason, Daddy and Delaney could take a cute picture... The second reason...

we were able to match our boyfriend, Cayden, in his Mickey Mouse outfit...

Posing for the camera...

The two of them were so great during the whole time there. We walked around and looked at all the vendors, rode the train, and ate corn dogs and fries. In my opinion, they won for cutest costumes at the festival. Everyone loved seeing Mickey and Minnie togeher. Their favorite part was getting out of their strollers to listen to the live band. Here is there conversation through pictures:

"Do you wanna dance, Mickey?"

"Not right now, Minnie."

"Minnie, don't forget. I get to lead."

"Maybe not."

"Take my hand."
"Ya know...I'm kinda tired, Mickey. And this sucker is really good."
"Me, too, Minnie."
"So I'll dance by myself."

After dancing and listening to the music, Jen got in the bouncy and took care of the Mouse family as they played in the inflatable...

Everyone movin' over. Delaney looks concerned for her Mickey. :)
Doing the splits and showing the hiny. They were so cute together...
Mickey and Minnie are both really worn out.
So...
The end. :)

Halloween 2010 Part 1

Today, Delaney had her first Halloween party. She dressed up as her second costume, a ladybug. Since her costume last year was really a 2t size, I decided she could wear it to her party and mess it up if she wanted. She is going to wear her new Minnie Mouse outfit when we go trick-or-treating in Memaw's neighborhood on Sunday.
When we arrived at the party, the ladybug was NOT so happy...

But of course after she ate...

Socialized...
Ate some more...
and left nothing but some some chips on her plate...
she was ready to PAR-TAY like a rock star... (with the little clown, too)
and a tiger!! ROAR!!!
She's so funny!
Trying to take a picture of the three girls...
They were having a blast playing, ...
and hugging...
still hugging... A REALLY long hug...:) Friends. And they LOVE Halloween! :)

McWane McFun...

This past week was very crazy! After our birthdays, Delaney ended up getting sick with an ear infection, Eric and I both had stomach viruses, and we heard some bad news from Delaney's blood test. She has anemia :( , and she will have to take medication everyday for two months until another blood test tells us more. With all of the stuff going on, we still managed to take advantage of this awesome gift that was given to us from Eric's mom... So on a cool Sunday afternoon, we had a family outing to McWane Center. Don't forget the books!
Stretching those legs...
She doesn't know what to do when we don't say, "No!" to her climbing on things.
Concentrating very hard on filling the cup with water.. (Notice the tongue. This is exactly what Eric does when he's concentrating. :)
Like father, like daughter...
What's in there, Delaney?

She LOVES slides!
Her new boyfriend. :)
Driving with Daddy
She's getting sleepy...
She passed out. :)

Don't Worry, Be Happy :)

This past week, I was able to take advantage of a nice fall break! Delaney and I planned to relax, shop, and just take it easy...didn't happen. We had plans to re-do our guest bedroom into a play room/toddler room for Miss Priss. We would have been able to finish it, but were tempted to stop and play every 5 minutes...

Did I say playing? I meant kissing... Those cute hair accessories were made by my awesome friend, Alyson. :) She's starting to make crafts/accessories so I will be supporting her by glamming up my Laneybug. RTR!

Back to the playroom...I had ordered a bed online (based on customer satisfaction and such :) and we were excited to see how excited Delaney was when she saw her bed. She won't be sleeping in it at night yet, but she was definitely okay with taking a nap in it.
Yay for big girl beds!!!
While the room was in progress, we celebrated our birthdays on Friday. Eric and I were able to do a little shopping/lunch at Chuy's at the Summit. It was wonderful! On Saturday, we went over to Nannie and Pop's to have a birthday lunch with Nana, Grandaddy, Memaw, Aunt Lori Beth, and Uncle Mike. Delaney wanted to get "freshened up" for the party, so she played with her Little Mermaid vanity.

Nana brought her a Minnie Mouse (if you read the blog you know she obsessed with Minnie). When we came home, we finished up a few projects in the room, including some art that was inspired by a pottery barn painting I saw in the store. I think mine turned out pretty good considering I was dodging a little girl's running feet and curious hands. :)

Pottery Barn Version...

My version... (over the toddler bed so I only did two) I also made some of the leaves out of Delaney's old outfit I loved, and then decoupagedthem onto the painting.
