Delaney has been so fun to play with over the last month! I wish she could stay 5 months old forever. She's now able to sit in her bumbo and look around at everyone. Her favorite toy is the red, talking Elmo. I think it's because her favorite color is red. Of course it would be...she's a big Alabama fan!! Saying "roll tide" might be her first words. :) Eric and I have made a weekend routine. We all wake up at around 7:00, talk and play, watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, while I feed her applesauce and rice cereal. Delaney also has her favorite meals. She loves sweet potatoes and carrots, but not a big fan of bananas. Although she hasn't mastered the spoon yet, she says "mmmm.." so I assume she likes it. :) This past weekend, I tried to get crafty and made her a "laneybug" outfit, bedazzled and all! I posted some pics of that. Halloween pics to come!!

We're All Smiles!
What a crazy month!!! Delaney has officially started her "childcare experience." Although I have had my initial "mommy meltdowns", I have come to the realization that Delaney is just fine in the arms of Ms. Lynn, or Nana, as her babies call her. I drop her off at 6:45 and I pick her up at 3:45. I am told that she loves to watch the other 3 infants as they play and talk to her. Ms. Lynn also says she is "scootin' everywhere." On the ride home everday, she and I talk about it (whatever "it" is). Our words are noises, but when I say "ah-goo", I think she realizes she's with her mommy.
Laneybug is also eating a little rice cereal during her feedings. Sometimes we put applesauce in it for a treat. She laughs when I scoop up the food around her mouth. I think the spoon feels good to her since she is teething, too. Wow, there's so much changing about her it's hard to put it into one blog!! She is getting so big and her eyebrows are really starting to look "Brooke Shieldish." hehe. Overall, Eric and I are really enjoying this stage a lot. It might be my favorite...atleast so far. :)
Dr.'s visit for 4 months is next week, so more info to come!!

Back to School :(
We recently took a trip to Daphne to visit Mary Beth and Kenny in Daphne, AL. Delaney learned to swim (hehe). She really did love the water and the way it sounded when Nannie patted it with her hands. We also went to the outlets and downtown Fairhope to shop. She was definitely a crowd-pleaser, as everyone wanted to "look at the sweet baby." Fun trip! Kindermusik is also over for the season, and we took some pics of the group from the last class.
Here are some pics from the trip

For her three month celebration we went to Bernetti's to get icecream. Of course she didn't eat any, but Eric and I enjoyed a change of scenery. She did get to have her picture taken with Elvis, though!
Along with being three months old, she has now entered the teething stage. FUN! She slobbers, knaws on anyone's shoulders, and is a little more whiney lately. Hopefully, this stage won't last TOO long. :) She is sleeping more at night. Her night time schedule is usually 9:00ish until 3ish. Would that be considered "sleeping through the night?" I don't know about that.
The most special event that has happened was her christening. She was christened on July 19th. She looked like an angel. She had an amazing gown created for her by a family friend. It was embroidered with her initials and a cross. On the slip was her name, Delaney Rose. It had lace embellishments on the sleeves and on the bottom of the white gown. It looked gorgeous!!! But boy was it a booger to put on her! I posted some pics of us dressing her, just so you can get the full effect. :)

During her christening, she was very vocal about her feelings. It made a memory. After a great lunch and opening presents, we headed to get MORE pics made. (She's not spoiled or anything. Hehe.)We were so tired that we came home and immediately went to bed. Whew!!
Hopefully, I have posted enough pics to satisfy all of your cuteness needs for a while anyway...
