Our First Christmas Performance and PAR-TAY!

Before the blog, I want to remember some cute things that Delaney is doing at 19 months:
-She loves to count (we know 1-10)
-She can say many words after they are spoken to her. She especially loves telling us when things are "hot" "cold" "soft" "hurt"
-During her last cold, she told me "nose" (which meant she wanted her nose wiped)
-She loves to put things "on" "off" "open" "close", although she gets confused between which one to use
-She can tell us the colors she wants to use when she is drawing. She especially loves saying "yeyow" (yellow) and "peeenk" (pink)
-She is learning manners such as using "tank you" (thank you) and "please" when she wants something.
-She has such cute expressions such as "oooh" when something is weird, gross, or pretty.
-She has also picked up the habit of reading a book and showing her "students" the pictures (like mother, like daughter) :)
-This Christmas, we have started counting to 3 everytime I turn on the Christmas lights to the tree and mantle. This is a great way to start our day. :)
Thursday, Eric and I, along with our parents, attended Delaney's Preschool Program...
We were so proud to be there as her parents and thankful to be able to share this memory with her grandparents. We were thoroughly entertained with the song "Where is Santa?" sung by the toddler class... (she is the one in pink second from the right)
Except unfortunately the extent of the this little girl's performance consisted of this...
Hat falling off...
And put back on quickly... :)
Oh well...
She looked thrilled...:)
After Delaney's performace, the grandparents stayed and visited the "super star," as we all gave her much praise for her talents. :)
Then she decided to try this "Santa Claus" visit one more time...
She really thought about it...
And thought not so much...
And so Daddy decided to talk with Santa about it all...:)
The next morning, Eric was lucky and had the day off with this cute little thing...
All the photography was taken by him, too...:)
They played with friends...
Showed love to others...
And chowed down on some good food...
She ate every bit of it.

Silly girl...

This was one of her friends...
Eric was told by Delaney's teacher that she prefers to sit in the "time out" seat. That is why her seat looks "special." She likes to think it is the best seat in the house. :)
As the other kids are playing and making messes, Delaney continues her mission to clean up after everyone..
Cleaning up some more...
Geez, messy people!! Come on!!
This is the book she received from the book swap. She was very happy with her new Santa book!
Daddy's day with Delaney!

She loves her teacher, Kimberly, too! :)
More parties to come!
