Eric and I decided to take our first family beach trip this past weekend. We didn't know it was Memorial Day weekend when we planned it, so we anxiously anticipated long lines and traffic. We were so happy to find out that it wasn't the case at all! We arrived with beautiful weather and no crowds or traffic. We traveled from the beach to the pools frequently. :) We found a local spot when we wanted to eat out (we ate there lunch and dinner) :). Delaney enjoyed the trip so much, that Eric and I decided it was such a blessing to have been able to make this memory with her. A BIG thank you to Mary Beth and Kenny!

Hanging out at "The Hangout." She loved people-watching. This was a great place to end up on our first night. Great music, atmosphere, and all the kids she could possibly want to stare at. They even had a suds machine that kept her entertained all night!
Delaney ended up running a little fever on the second day. We didn't want to take any chances, so we stayed in most of the time after that. We made the most of it by staying inside and taking family pics, playing with her toys, and watching cartoons. It was very relaxing...
We did manage to eat out at lunch the next two days (they began to know us there). Here she is getting ready for her meal...
We also took a shopping trip to Talula's, where Delaney picked out a pretty mermaid that she held the rest of the day. We named her Melody the mermaid...
She even watched "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" with her...
Perfect vacation for our little girl...
